History: The Little Giants played across the Hudson in Roosevelt Stadium. The Jersey City Giants set a Minor League attendance record in 1946. Giants pitcher Louis Polli led the International League in '43 with a 1.85 ERA. Bobby Thomson, the man who would launch the shot heard 'round the world in 1951 wore #7 for Jersey City. The Little Giants played in Roosevelt Stadium, which ironically would host several Brooklyn Dodger home games in 1956 and 57.
